As a high school sophomore, I took my first class (Visual Basic 6). I finished the curriculum in half the semester — finishing my Roman numeral calculator before Halloween. I was hooked. For the first time in my life, I knew what I wanted to do for a realistic profession. (My goal until then was to be a professional bowler. Ha!) I enjoy every part of software development, from designing an elegant solution to testing it to make sure my co-workers won't break it, but my greatest reward is seeing a user smile. Cheesey, I know, but its true. I love it.

User Interaction

While I haven't had explicit training in user interaction, my favorite — and longest — days at Jacob North were the days I improved a user's experience on our site.
